In the Monumental Gallery, Maryliis Teinfeldt-Grins and Katrin Tukmann present “mis kannatab sõelaga vedada // ei pia samblaga vooderda”, an exhibition bringing together a selection of their sketches and studies. Working across textile, glass and painting, the two artists explore the space between an initial idea and a finished work, allowing their different materials and approaches to meet without losing their individuality.
In the Small Gallery, Gerly Piho presents her solo exhibition “Ma ei taha olla” (“I Don’t Want to Be”). Piho, a painting student at Pallas University of Applied Sciences, received the Hotel Pallas Painting Scholarship in 2026. Her exhibition explores the urge to escape discomfort – and even oneself – only to find that there is nowhere to run from your own body and mind.
In the Large Gallery, “Aja serval heliseb valgus” (“Light Rings at the Edge of Time”) brings together seven artists whose work engages with science fiction in different ways. Katrin Enni, Sandra Ernits, Marten Esko, Mihkel Ilus, Olev Kuma, Holger Loodus and Solveig Lill ask whether science fiction still imagines a future ahead of us, or whether that future has already become part of the present. The exhibition has no single curator and has grown out of a shared process of discussion and artistic collaboration.
All three exhibitions will remain on view at Tartu Art House until 8 November.
