The organizers of Rally Sarma 2026 have revealed the special stages of the winter rally, which will take place on February 7 in the Gulbene region, and have published the official Spectator Guide. The competition format includes three special stages run twice, with the rally concluding with a dedicated final stage that will also serve as the Power Stage.
The special stages are located across the Gulbene region, including the areas of Rimstavas, Agrumi, Velēna, Mālmuiža, Lejasciems, Sinole and Aduliena. The route combines well-known rally roads with long-unseen and completely new sections. By blending classic special stages with newly created connections, the organizers have achieved a dynamic, technically diverse and modern configuration.

Fast forest roads are interwoven with technical sections, narrow passages, changes in road profile and even elements running through agricultural areas, requiring drivers to continuously adapt to changing conditions. This approach preserves the historic character of the rally while offering a fresh and demanding challenge for both competitors and spectators. The Power Stage finale promises a particularly spectacular, dynamic and emotional conclusion to the event.
The Spectator Guide is available on the official website of the Latvian Rally Championship at autorally.lv. Under the QR codes, spectators can access additional materials, including ready-made navigation routes for Waze and Google Maps. For the first time, videos have also been added for each spectator point, allowing fans to assess the stage layout and visibility in advance.
Spectators should also note the start order on the special stages. Before the competition cars, the usual safety and zero crews will run the stages. Rally and historic rally crews will then start in a mixed order based on their expected speed. After their runs, zero crews will return to the stages to prepare them for the rally sprint competitors. Due to the rally sprint format, these participants will not contest special stages 6 and 7.
Competitor registration is still ongoing, with interest exceeding initial expectations and several pleasant surprises already visible on the entry list. At the same time, the organizer has taken into account requests from several drivers and teams and has extended the registration deadline until Monday afternoon.
The organizers remind spectators that rally tickets are available only in electronic form via the ticketing platform ekase.lv. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance, as heavy mobile network usage in the rally areas may make online purchases difficult on site.
