The Latvian airline airBaltic, in cooperation with Citadele Bank, has launched the new C airBaltic card – a payment card that offers customers across the Baltics a new way to earn airBaltic Club loyalty points through their everyday card purchases and redeem them for future flights.
Designed for airBaltic Club members, the new payment card brings together daily purchases and travel rewards. Customers earn one airBaltic Club point for every EUR 1 spent on eligible purchases and three points for every EUR 1 spent on airBaltic flight purchases made through the airline's website. This allows members to reach reward flights faster while also enjoying additional travel benefits.

Erno Hildén, President and CEO of airBaltic: “At airBaltic, we are continuously looking for new ways to create greater value for our loyal customers. Together with Citadele, we are expanding the airBaltic Club loyalty programme beyond flying, making it part of our customers’ everyday lives. The new C airBaltic card makes earning loyalty points significantly easier while offering meaningful travel benefits every time customers fly with us. It is another important step in making the overall travel experience more seamless, rewarding and customer-focused.”
Edward Rebane, Member of the Management Board and Chief Retail Officer at Citadele: “At Citadele, we believe that innovation creates real value when it simplifies everyday life. Through strong partnerships and future-ready digital solutions, we continue to strengthen our position as a leader in digital banking while staying true to our promise of easy banking. The new C airBaltic card is another example of how we combine convenience, rewards, and seamless customer experiences, supporting our clients both in their daily financial activities and as they plan their next travels.”
Eligible new Citadele customers receive welcome points after linking their card to their airBaltic Club profile. In addition to earning loyalty points with everyday purchases, cardholders enjoy travel-related benefits and insurance that is useful both when travelling and when shopping.
For airBaltic flights purchased with the card, benefits include earning three airBaltic Club points for every EUR spent on the airlines website, heavy cabin baggage of up to 12 kg, earlier online check-in, seat reservation, airport check-in at the business class counter and baggage drop-off, as well as priority boarding.
The card also includes 1 GB of free mobile internet for travel via eSIM and travel insurance for the cardholder and family members abroad. In addition, customers benefit from free EUR transfers across Latvia and Europe, free cash withdrawals of up to EUR 1 500 per month at ATMs worldwide and opportunity to access airport VIP lounges for an additional fee.
The design of the new card features a photograph of the northern lights captured by airBaltic Visual Content Specialist Anna Matule during a flight from Montreal, Canada, to Riga, while flying over Greenland. Much like the C airBaltic card helps bring future journeys closer, the northern lights serve as a reminder of the unique experiences and discoveries that await travellers along the way.
To access airBaltic Club benefits and earn loyalty points, customers must be members of the airBaltic Club loyalty programme and link their C airBaltic card to their Club profile.
