Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Daugava Riga has completed the renovation of 154 guestrooms, bringing a refreshed stay experience to one of Riga’s best-known riverside hotels. Completed in June 2026 after a one-year renovation program, the project brings a more contemporary look and feel to the hotel’s accommodation offering, with refreshed interiors, modern bathrooms, upgraded in-room technology, and new connecting room options for families and groups.
Set on the banks of the Daugava River, the hotel offers views of Riga’s Old Town, the river, and the city’s green surroundings, making it a convenient base for city breaks, local staycations, business travel, and weekends by the water. The hotel is also within easy reach of Riga’s Old Town and key city landmarks, while offering spa, dining, meeting, and event facilities. The refreshed rooms are designed for a broad mix of guests, from Latvian residents planning a weekend by the water to couples on short city breaks and business travelers extending their stay to enjoy Riga’s Old Town and riverside at a slower pace.

The renovated guestrooms are designed to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere, combining bright interiors, natural tones, clean lines, and practical layouts. Large windows maximize natural daylight, while many rooms overlook the Daugava River, Riga’s Old Town, or the surrounding greenery. A distinctive local touch has been added through authentic aerial photographs of Riga, featured above the beds in selected guestrooms – a subtle design detail that brings the city itself into the room experience. The images by Kaspars Daļeckis were chosen to capture Riga from above – its rooftops, bridges, and bends in the river – turning each guestroom into a small window onto the city itself.
The renovation covers room categories from Cozy Rooms and Premium Rooms to Junior Suites and spacious One-Bedroom Suites, ranging from 18 m² to 52 m². Each renovated room includes complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, tea and coffee facilities, a spacious work desk, an in-room safe, modern bathrooms with premium amenities, and a 50" or 55" Smart TV with casting functionality. Practical features such as ironing facilities, professional hair dryers, and newly introduced connecting rooms further enhance comfort for different types of guests – from couples and solo travelers to families and groups.
“Riga is a city people experience through views, light, rooftops, and the river. With this renovation, we wanted to bring some of that feeling into the guestrooms as well,” says Michał Grobelny, Cluster General Manager, Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Daugava Riga. “The new rooms are brighter, more comfortable, and more connected to the city – whether guests are visiting Riga for the first time or rediscovering it during a weekend stay.”
The renovated rooms also strengthen the hotel’s appeal as an easy wellness and city-break address in Riga. After a day in the Old Town, along the Daugava, or exploring the city, guests can unwind at the hotel’s spa and fitness center, which includes an indoor pool, hot tub, Turkish hammam, Finnish sauna, salt room, cold waterfall shower, and fully equipped gym. Complimentary spa access is included in selected room categories, while guests in other room types can book access for an additional charge. Gym access is available to all hotel guests. For business travelers, the renovated rooms also offer a practical base close to the hotel’s meeting and event spaces, combining work-friendly comfort with one of Riga’s most scenic waterfront settings.
Sustainability was also considered as part of the renovation. All renovated guestrooms have been upgraded with energy-efficient LED lighting, and the hotel is verified under the Hotel Sustainability Basics program, reflecting its ongoing commitment to internationally recognized sustainability standards.
With its refreshed guestrooms, Riga-inspired design details, riverside location, and wellness facilities, Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Daugava Riga offers a renewed stay experience for both international visitors and local guests looking to enjoy the Latvian capital from a scenic and comfortable setting.
